LOCAL CHAPTER FUNDRAISERS

TRAJECTORY TO EXCELLENCE

 

The Trajectory to Excellence serves as an opportunity for the chapter to recognize and honor community members and/or organizations whose tireless efforts are in line with our organization's 5-point program - Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness & Involvement, Physical & Mental Health, and Political Awareness & Involvement.  In addition, the event also raises funds for the chapter's Bertha Pitts Campbell Scholarship Fund, our programs and public service activities.

 

The first Trajectory to Excellence event was held in 2005 and honored five members of the community. The reigning Miss America, Soror Ericka Dunlap was the keynote speaker.  Other notable keynote speakers have been Delta's 17th Past National President , Mona H. Bailey, former Surgeon General, Soror Jocelyn Elders and actress and writer, Soror Sheryl Lee Ralph.

 

Previous  honorees include AARTH (African American Reach and Teach  Health Ministry, Dr. and Mrs. Samuel McKinney (Louise), Ekene Amaefule, Roland Bradley and Herman McKinney.

A CELEBRATION OF REDS & WHITES: WINE TASTING

 

A Celebration of Reds & Whites is our annualFall event. This event serves as an opportunity for our organization to build relationships with local businesses and generate awareness about our public service programs and activities. It is also a good time to purchase your holiday wines.

 

The proceeds from A Celebration of REDS & WHITES fund our programs and public service activities. The 2015 Celebration of REDS & WHITES will be November 14th, at NW African American Museum, 7-9pm.
